Implemented the sidebar in mobile view of the site now, so you should see a hamburger menu in the top right to bring out the sidebar. Not sure if I want to put the nav in there too.

I added Sidebar Management to Postalgic tonight. You can see the result over in the sidebar (on desktop only, for now). You can add text “blocks” and link list “blocks” and rearrange them. Those are the primarily important sidebar building blocks for a blog. You want more than that? Beg for it!
No, don’t.
It took a little debugging but Claude Code helped me implement “smart publishing” in Postalgic so now it’ll only upload files that have changes and it’ll delete any removed files for each publish. So now publishing can be wicked fast.
Yes, I said it. Wicked fast.
Hell yeah, I got a templating system in place today, using a thing called Mustache. I had Claude Code try a couple times to make its own templating system and it could never get it right. Cost me $10 in failures. But with better planning on my part, we worked it out eventually.
I’ve really hauled ass on the prototype for Postalgic and now I’m at the point where I have mostly harder problems to solve, and harder design decisions. Like, for a second I thought I wanted there to be a WYSIWYG editor, but there aren’t any that seem good to me, so… It would maybe be most ideal if I could have some sort of rich text SwiftUI editor that I can then convert into Markdown, but I think I want to keep this very DIY and I have an idea in mind for being able to insert images into posts that would work nicely if I just kept plain text markdown editing… idk… idk…
